Overview
Designpax branded, designed, and developed this educational website and helped develop the e-learning courses for new and renewing notaries in Califonia.
BACKGROUND
State-approved California notary classes are required for individuals seeking to become a notary public in California.
One of the leading online California notary education providers, Notary Course Online, was created with a single goal: to make it easier than ever to complete notary training and pass the CA notary exam quickly and easily.
CHALLENGE
Notary Course Online realized that manifesting their goal in a digital environment would be challenging. First and foremost, the curriculum needed to adhere to state requirements and provide the highest-quality education in the industry. The site also needed to be user-friendly and function well on all devices and browsers so that a wide range of users could easily navigate the experience.
SOLUTION
Designpax was selected to research, strategize, concept, and execute this massive project. We started by understanding the space and the legalities and regulations around notary training in California.
First, our creative and strategic teams helped to create a compelling brand, starting with brand positioning, logo, and color palette. We used a holistic approach to crafting the brand identity that reflected the core values of Notary Course Online.
Next, the UX team created wireframes and prototypes for the website in Figma. Page layouts were then developed after extensive testing of the critical parts of the user interface. Once approved, our designers started on a UI design that would appeal to the target audience and set it apart from the competition.
By building the website in WordPress, Designpax created a functional and aesthetically pleasing site that was easy to manage and scale as the company grew. WordPress's flexible platform also allowed Designpax to seamlessly integrate several essential design and technical features that Notary Course Online required to deliver its product offering.
Using WordPress's e-commerce plugin, WooCommerce, Designpax created a robust online store optimized for selling the company's online courses and physical products.
Designpax worked with educators and experts at Notary Course Online to meticulously craft notary courses that allow students to focus entirely on the material, with content presented in manageable segments. Learn Dash, a sophisticated e-learning platform (LMS), helped make this possible. Learn Dash and our customization of its interface allowed for the management of courses, certificates, and progress monitoring.
Designpax leveraged several essential plugins and custom-developed server-side applications to enhance internal workflows and increase operational efficiency.
Integrating Klaviyo into the platform enabled the automation of marketing, promotions, and discounts for acquisition. Klaviyo enabled the sending of highly personalized, targeted messages across marketing channels and the storage of customer information in accordance with data protection laws.
Once the courses were approved and purchase flows were tested, we launched the site on WPEngine, our preferred WordPress hosting solution.
RESULTS
The result is a beautiful, intuitive, robust website reflective of the Notary Course Online brand. The website provides access to comprehensive notary public courses, quizzes, and practice tests, delivering a fully immersive e-learning experience.
Designpax remains engaged with Notary Course Online on a monthly retainer basis to maintain the site and manage its online and offline SEO, content creation, blogs, and PPC marketing.
In addition, Designpax is working on phase 3 of the site, which will add a video course and additional learning aids. We are also helping the company expand into additional states.
